So I am now entering my 20th year as a professional wedding photographer, during which time I have covered in excess of 1500 weddings….and I still love them!

A degree in Geography at Manchester University (not of much use in my career but a great 3 years in the making!) was followed by a brief foray into work in the City which only fuelled my belief that I needed a creative job and I trained as a photojournalist.

At this time, wedding photography was still very staged and formal but I became one of the first to adopt the documentary approach which is now of course pretty much industry standard, as it should be!

The thrill of getting ‘that’ shot is what drives me in my work and weddings have always been the best vehicle for that.

A little about me away from work – I have 2 fantastic sons who are 15 and 16, love my classic VW Camper, play tennis now that I have finally accepted I will never be a professional footballer, I illustrate, love all things retro and I collect records…..
